[vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_custom_heading]Welcome Fall[/vc_custom_heading][vc_column_text]

I love the warm days and the cooler nights of Fall. I love the smell of blackberries, apples and pears as they ripen and fall from their branches. For my family, Fall brings school, routine, baking, big pots of soup and usually 1 or 2 rounds of sickness. I’m writing this as my youngest is sick on the couch with a fever and a sore stomach. It’s only been 7 full days of school for him! As an Aromatherapist of 17 years, my kids are not strangers to my essential oil concoctions.

Here are some of my favourite and simple diffuser blends for children to help with cold and flu bugs, alertness, night time relaxation and worry.

* I suggest 5-12 drops of essential oil to an average 200ml diffuser. Because children can be quite sensitive to smell, it’s best to let your child smell each oil first and omit from the blend any he or she does not like. If your child has any medical conditions it’s best to contact your healthcare practitioner or local aromatherapist first. It’s not recommended to diffuse essential oils around babies under 6 months of age.
